- Circulation Desk as Entry Point: All front
desk services begin at the Circulation Desk, which serves as the main hub
for library interactions.
- Student Registration: Newly admitted
students must register here to become official library members.
- Library Card Issuance: After registration,
students receive their library cards from the library itself.

This section essentially guides new students through the first steps of
becoming active library users and accessing its resources.
📖 User Borrowing Privileges
Library members are entitled to borrow books based on their membership category. The borrowing limits and duration are as follows:

OPAC (Online Catalogue)
OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) offers access to the library's collection of resources. It can be accessed both within the college library premises and remotely. By logging in, users can view and manage their personal library accounts through the OPAC system.
Remote Access to E-Resources
The library is a member of the N-LIST (National Library and
Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content) consortium of
INFLIBNET, through which the members of the library can access 6500+ e-journals
and 100,000+ eBooks. To have access to these resources, users can mail their
interest to gourmohanlibrary1986@gmail.com, mentioning their name, department, and phone
number. After registration, the respective member will get an activation link.
After activating the account, it will be activated.
Newspaper Desk
The library subscribes to 02 leading newspapers in Bengali languages; one is the daily AnandaBazar Patrika, and one is Karmakeshetra. Besides,
the electronic version is indexed in the library OPAC.
Journals & Magazines
The library subscribes to academic journals and magazines for its academic fraternity and is
accessible.
Entry-in-Service
In the Entry-in-Service corner, the library provides relevant
books and magazines for the competitive examination for government and
non-government positions. The corner is a support service to the students of
Career.
Orientation, Reference & Bibliographic Services
Library guides are for the new students of the college at the
beginning of the new session for using the library resources. It also provides need-based reference and bibliographic services to the students and teachers.
Current Awareness Services
Periodically, the library uploads scanned cover pages/lists of books' titles of newly acquired books, journals, and documents. These records will be on exhibit in the Dr. Gour Mohan Roy College Library in their assigned location.
